Soaps
are salts of higher fatty acids, mainly palmin, stearin and olein which
as a result of interaction with water give the alkaline environment.
Property of soap to clear skin is caused by capacity of the alkali,
a part washed, to dissolve the fatty greasing of skin mixed with a
dust and dirt. It also loosens a horny layer of skin, allowing moisture
to penetrate inside but at the same time it evaporates from a surface
of skin, and releases excretory ductile of skin gland. After washing
with soap skin becomes really pure and fresh.
However soap renders on body also an adverse influence. Alongside with
dirt it dissolves lipids (fats) which, forming hydrolipid film, keep moisture
in deep layers of skin. As a result it loses natural protection, the moisture
from it evaporates, and bacteria mushrooming on a surface. And though the
normal skin is capable of quick restoring of the natural fat screen, constant
application of soap breaks this process and can cause death of epidermis
cells. As a result the whole body becomes dry, is often irritated, shelled
and gets an unattractive look. Cheap soap negatively affects your skin because of free alkaline in it. Thus let you not to be misled by its pleasant
smell: forming parts of these soaps are intended to make aromatic means
only to make them more attractive to application and do not influence in
any way on its qualities.
Because of negative influence on skin soap was applied, basically, to wash
dirty hands; and for cleansing body other means were used, namely gel,
muss, milk, etc. But today soap again gains its lost positions, owing to
invention of new technologies of natural cosmetic soap, which solve a problem
of body dryness.
